PM Routine // 7 Step Skin

My first video on my blog!! I didn’t know you I could upload videos but, hey you learn something new every day.

I decided to show my PM routine with the ‘7 skin’ trend incorporated.

The 7 step skin is basically applying 7 layers of toners / essence that are preferably alcohol/fragrance free on your skin, you guessed it, 7 times.

If you’re thinking 7 applications is far too many, you can opt for 3/4, it’s how much your skin soaks up, myself personally, I am shocked to find I can do the full 7 steps and my skin doesn’t feel like a swamp.

This has been a popular skin trend for a few years now, made popular in Korea, and sworn by by many. I had heard it through the grapevine for a while and shrugged it off as company’s wanting us to just use more products for business purposes, which, will always be true, but it’s been the past couple of weeks people have been saying how much of a drastic change it’s made to their skin. And me being me, I gave in.

I must mention that if you use serums / oils / moisturisers ect they are also your ‘skin’ so if you use a HA and a moisturiser, it would be 5 applications of toner, 6 step HA and 7th step moisturiser. You can adapt it how you see fit.

I was using Pixi’s Milky Tonic for the first few times I done 7 skin, and it did feel amazing, but there are some fragrance and alcohol which isn’t recommended with the 7 skin. Disclaimer – I am no way saying fragrance and alcohol in skincare are bad, in fact sometimes I promote it. However 7 skin requires multiple applications therefore ingredients such as these may cause drying and irritation.

But through all the posts regarding 7 skin, Pyunkang Yul’s essence toner has come up again and again. I used the 100ml.

I also got my mum to try it and to say she’s obsessed, is an understatement.

I’m using 1 toner for this method, but I also see people using different ones with different purposes. I would recommend going thinnest up to thickest in consistency. But for cost purposes, I’m sticking to 1.

I’m really keen to carry on 7 skin as it’s left my skin feeling really supple and hydrated, it’s literally bouncy skin, I love it!

Have you guys tried 7 skin? What do you think? Let me know in the comments!

Love your skin? Come and join in!
